Single Review: Call Me Maybe By Carly Rae Jepson

I swear to you I’m 99.9% sure I’d never heard ‘Call Me Maybe’ by Carly Rae Jepson until I was on holiday with three friends in Salou this May.
If I’m honest the first time I heard it I was like what the hell is this.
‘Call Me Maybe’ was played over and over but the funny thing is it’s so bad that it’s so good.

The track is catchy, upbeat and although it is uber cheesy it also has a real feel good vibe to it.
‘Call Me Maybe’ quite quickly became our holiday anthem, as we’d heard it that much, and we also made up a rather cheesy dance routine to accompany it. Not that I remembered what it was until a friend kindly reminded me.
This is the sort of song that grows on you the more you listen to it.

The lyrics are just soooo catchy Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number so call me maybe. It’s hard to look right, at you baby, but here’s my number so call me maybe.

For me it now has memories of being on holiday enjoying the sunshine, chilling and having a laugh and a few drinks with my friends.

Whenever I hear it now it’s like I’ve been transported back to Salou, it’s funny yesterday I was thinking about this blog entry and a car drove by playing none other than ‘Call Me Maybe’ I honestly could not help smiling.

Take a listen to ‘Call Me Maybe’ I’d love to hear your thoughts?

Also, why you’re at it do let me know what songs have grown on you, or even become your holiday classic?
