Zumba and Aqua Zumba

Firstly, I want to apoligise for my silence on here since May has kicked in.

My phone decided to have a fit and I have lost some of my drafts, but I am currently working on restoring those pieces and getting more on here.

Zumba- I am one for discovering any craze that sweeps the nation long after everyone else. Last year I discovered Zumba and after just one class I was begging for more.

I found a class in New Eltham at Dancewise which I attended once a week. Sometimes I would manage to go twice a week.

Nicola is an excellent teacher and having been to a few other classes I was dissapointed with the results. If i’m not dying and sweating profusely it’s not worth my time and money. On 3rd May I attended an Aqua Zumba class in Aylesbury with my friend Emma.

I wasn’t sure what to expect? But I really enjoyed the class, it was a mixture of Zumba and water aerobics. Having attended Zumba classes and used the wii game on more than one occasion, I did feel like I knew what I was doing. Well a little anyway. It was funny that one routine we did I have done on the wii but it sure is so much harder in the water.

I completely loved the session, I left feeling energised amd I felt better about myself. Since I returned home to London I’ve done a little research to try and find an Aqua Zumba class near me. Sadly, the nearest to me is Chislehurst which is a bit of a trek especially if I wanted to go before or after work.

I may just have to pop back to Aylesbury and visit that class again.

If you’ve not tried Zumba have a look on www.youtube.com there are lots of links showing you the DVD’s and the wii game. Also check out www.zumba.com

If I’ve inspired you to “Ditch the workout, and join the party” do be sure to let me know.
